It’s been a long time since our last blog but it’s been a busy few months at Ave Satanas as some of you may have seen from our Facebook and Twitter pages.

As in previous years, Ave Satanas will be attending various shows around the country and we’re proud to announce that we are co-sponsoring The Great British Tattoo Show at Alexandra Palace in May, Bloodstock in August and Desertfest in a few short weeks! Make sure you’ve got your tickets for this one as it’s going to be epic!

We’re also pleased to announce that Ave Satanas is now exclusively stocked in France by the awesome Eblastshop. Make sure you check out their website and ‘Like’ their page here.

For a list of conventions and festivals we’ll be attending in 2013 see our ‘Upcoming Events’ on the ‘Satanas Hearse’ page.

Come and find us at Desertfest…

Hail Satan!

Desertfest 2013

So June’s nearly over and what a month it’s been! Download Festival seems something of a distant memory as I write this now. As fans we’ve been going to Download for years, but this was Ave Satanas’ first outing to Donington. We arrived in style rolling on site in Satanas Hearse on the Wednesday, you might have even seen us?! The Stand of Satanas had the perfect pitch; located in the main arena across from the Jagermeister Stage. We could see the Jager stage from the Stand of Satanas and even the main stage if you stepped out a few feet from our black tent. We caught some great bands, met friends old and new, and most importantly we met those bold enough to enter the Stand of Satanas and purchase from our unique range.

Getting off site on the Monday and down to London in time for the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards was a challenge. Missing the sponsors VIP cruise down the Thames was only the first thing we missed that night; we did make it to the O2’s Indigo for the awards but got preoccupied with the Jager bar and missed our own award! Needless to say everyone at Ave Satanas was pleased to hear that Watain won ‘Best Underground Band’. If you were there, we hope you like the lanyard; if you weren’t, buy the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 10th Anniversary Issue OUT NOW, to see what you missed.

The Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards will be on Scuzz TV on Friday 6th July 2012 at 10pm.

See you all at Bloodstock!

The weekend of 21st-22nd April 2012 marked the advent of a brand new tattoo show in the capital ‘The Great British Tattoo Show’. This tattoo extravaganza was brought to London’s Olympia by the team behind Tattoo Freeze, Manchester International Tattoo Show, Tattoo Jam, and the UK’s biggest selling tattoo magazine Skin Deep. Clearly they are a company that know a thing or two about putting on a show.. and they sure did! The Great British Tattoo Show was two days of some of the best emerging talent in the tattoo industry both nationally and internationally. Packed with a variety of raucous performances, angle grinders, fire-breathing, booby tassels, and devilish entertainment, Ave Satanas were proud sponsors of  the ‘Best of Sunday’ award. Congratulations to all at Jazz Publishing for putting on another wicked and successful show. Don’t forget to check out the highlights: Great British Tattoo Showreel.

Their next convention is the Manchester International Tattoo Show in August, and then of course Tattoo Jam in October, the UK’s biggest tattoo show! Look out for Ave Satanas appearing in the next issue of Skin Deep on sale next week and we’ll see you all again at Jam!

April is our second favourite month of the year after October (for obvious reasons) and in the past week we’ve seen two of our favourite bands. Electric Wizard debuting ‘Legalise Drugs & Murder’ and sounding heavier than ever with visuals to match. It truly was an epic Black Mass! Who could possibly follow this? Orange fuckin’ Goblin that’s who!

This weekend saw the first ever Desertfest taking place over 3 days in Camden with the mighty Goblin headlining Saturday at the Underworld. Consistently heavier than Satan pressing 10 plates, Goblin destroy live and are without a doubt one of the best live bands on the planet. Orange Goblin are now touring their new album ‘Eulogy for the Damned’ so click here to find their dates, getcha tickets, buy the album and support true British heavy metal!

In addition to these two fantastic live performances we took the Stand of Satanas to Camden Town’s legendary Electric Ballroom, that’s how we celebrate Easter! The Stand of Satanas – Blacker Than All and coming to a festival near you this summer!

Hail Wizard, Rege Goblin, Ave Satanas!

Metal Hammer magazine has been a firm favourite here at Ave HQ for many years, as has their annual Golden God Awards, now in its 10th year.

Ave Satanas Dickies Workshirt

The Ave Satanas range has further evolved including even more new designs and products. Most recently being the addition of Dickies Workshirts and Cargo Shorts. The Dickies shirts are available in long sleeved with large ‘Hail Satan’ backprint and short sleeved with ‘Ave 666 Pentagram’ backprint. Both come with the Ave Satanas logo embroidered above the left pocket. These heavy duty workshirts are top of the range, uber Satanas and only for the most serious of Satanists. Also now in are Dickies Cargo shorts. These come with the Ave Satanas embroidered logo on the left pocket and will prove to be a metal festival favourite this summer!

Our ‘biker patches’ have been much in demand so we’re bringing out another patch in May.

Hail Satan!

whitby abbeyI can’t think of a more suitable location to spend Halloween and celebrate the success of Ave Satanas’ first year in business than Whitby, one time home of Bram Stoker’s Count Dracula. Cutting through the atmospheric mist of the North Yorkshire moors, we arrived in style, rolling up in Satanas Hearse for Whitby Goth Weekend. A weekend when the town is taken over by goths, vampires, steam punks, and metallers creating a fantastically dark atmosphere in this picturesque coastal town. Satanas Hearse made its debut at the Whitby Kustom Car Show, joining hundreds of killer rides just across from where the Stand of Satanas was trading. Whitby Goth Weekend is a truly great experience and a ‘must see’ for anyone into the darker side of life. After a busy and enjoyable first year, being involved in some of the best conventions and festivals in the UK, Whitby Goth Weekend was the perfect show to end our season on. Thanks to Jo Hampshire, Mike and Paul of Whitby Kustom, and everyone in ‘Dracula Country’ for making us satanists feel so welcome.

We’ll be back! See you in 2012…

Well, it’s official, the undisputed UK  tattoo show of the year is without doubt, the London International Tattoo Convention at Tobacco Dock. We’ve had the pleasure of attending this behemoth of a show for the past couple of years but this was our first time attending as traders and what a weekend! I’ve never seen such a huge number of world class tattoo artists in one place, so as a tattoo collector you really need look no further! The entertainment was also first class, the Fuel Girls were awesomely hot in every sense and I was mesmerized by Leah Debrincat you simply have to see her perform somewhere, somehow…DO IT! If beautiful, semi naked women with power tools, machetes and fire isn’t enough, then fear not, there’s also some killer stands and merchandise to check out downstairs in the Crypt. The Stand of Satanas was suitably located next to the Jamaica Inn keeping us adequately refreshed throughout the weekend with their real ale and cider bar. So friends, you know where to be next September, but also note there is another top class show, The Brighton Tattoo Convention January 28th-29th, it’s run by the same organisers as London so you can be sure of a great weekend. Thanks to Annick and Woody in particular and everyone for making LITC such an enjoyable 3 days, see you in 2012!

Hail Satan!

You told us, and we listened… ‘Hail Satan‘ now available as a long sleeved T-shirt! We’ve added a fuckin’ killer inverted cross front print… Pure Satanic Hellwear.

Also as a nod to our passion for down-tuned, heavy as hell metal we give you ‘Sludge Fuckin’ Core‘.  A black t-shirt with skull n’ bones front print with Sludge Fuckin’ Core backprint. Keep it heavy!

Come and see us 23rd – 25th September at Tobacco Dock, the best Tattoo Show in the UK.

In retrospect, if a fellow metaller had come up to me in ’99 at Full Tilt, the Electric Ballroom’s then metal night and said you’ll be back here in twelve years running the satanic behemoth that Ave Satanas is fast becoming, strangely, I wouldn’t have been all that surprised! So, over a decade on there I was (this time minus the corpse paint) with the Stall of Satanas, a spectacular black alter displaying the fineries of our black range. It was great to see some of our dark friends yesterday, coming out to get their Pure Rebel Hellwear © direct from us in the flesh. Thanks also to the legendary Evil from the Needle tattoo studio and Cold Steel body piercing for your support. We’ll be bringing the darkness back in October, keep checking here for our next date at the Electric Ballroom.

After a hectic August and two big conventions back to back, the dust has finally settled at Ave HQ and I can now gather my thoughts about our most recent outing. I can honestly say, Bloodstock is my favourite weekend of the summer festival season; three days of take no prisoners, no fuckin’ about, straight up metal. Not only is the music 666% killer, so is the atmosphere and the fans. The Stand of Satanas was busy for the duration and it was great to see so many people wearing Ave Satanas t-shirts around the site, and Jezebel and I did manage to get to see some of our favourite bands.

Day One , the band for me came on at 3:30pm and blew me away: Triptykon – Hail Satan, you guys are amazing and damn cool with it! My must see for Day Two was Angel Witch on the Sophie Lancaster Stage: pure class and a great set. Unfortunately for me I couldn’t get close to Evil Scarecrow on Day 3 as the tent was totally rammed, but you guys ruled!

In addition to the music there’s also a great variety of cool merchandise and gear; Skull Art Designs, wow, we love your work! If big heavy skulls and skull based interior decoration is your thing, then you need to check ‘em out. Their website is under construction, but if you’re going to the London International Tattoo Convention later this month, go see them in person! Love Leather was another great stall selling all manner of things leather, great people too and very helpful, especially assisting us exorcise the demon that had bent most of our tent pegs with an oversized mallet. We look forward to seeing you again this Sunday (11th) at the Electric Ballroom.

If you’re a metal fan and you’ve never been to Bloodstock I urge you to go, you’ll soon cross off the bigger named festivals from your summer itinerary; who only appear interested in extracting as much money from the fans as possible. The dates for Bloodstock 2012 are 10-12th August. Already confirmed are Orange Goblin one of the most immense live bands walking the face of the planet. Their new album is scheduled for worldwide release March 2012, they’ll be headlining Hard Rock Hell in December and having a Christmas show at Camden Town’s Underworld on December 17th.

Thank you Bloodstock and see you in 2012… Stay Brutal!

Just to say thank you to all our friends at Skin Deep Magazine for putting on another successful Tattoo Jam.

As always, a good mix of world class tattoo artists, upcoming bands and a variety of cool vendors. If, like us, you prefer to decorate your home with skulls instead of mass produced swedish prints, check out Sweet Delirium and their fantastic range of ornamental pieces and jewellery.

We were really impressed by the art of Kerry Evans and Ardent Shadows. Good to see Inkabilly again; like your stuff. If you’ve ever thought about getting your hair dreaded, definitely have a look at Urban Halo; they did a wicked job on my beard!

The Stand of Satanas was clearly one of the places to be and we look forward to bringing it back in 2012!

As the ten year anniversary of 9/11 looms, it brings with it a lot of memories about that day. My thoughts about it since the event are very different to those of that Tuesday morning. With the passage of time, reflection, and new information comes a clearer perspective. The true Satanist, with an open mind, questioning of authorities and their propaganda machines will come to their own conclusion. See our links to Find Out More…

Ave Satanas is marking this ten year anniversary by commencing trading at Camden Town’s legendary Electric Ballroom, find us there!

It’s been a while since our last blog, there’s been a lot going on with our little cult of late but holy fuckin’ shit last nights gig at Camden’s Underworld has inspired me to put pen to paper. The world we inhabit these days revolves around the populace, whether it’s music for the masses, dumbed down TV, or middle ground politics, it’s all about appealing to the heard. Sometimes it can feel like you’re from another planet, or possibly even another species every time you turn on your TV or venture out from your dwelling. Although I do have a tendency to be misanthropic, a proud outsider, last night was like coming home.

To those of you who know music, our kind of music, EYEHATEGOD need no introduction. For those of you who don’t, I suggest you check them out or stop reading this, fuck off and turn Radio 1 on. EHG are without doubt one of the heaviest, most brutal bands on the face of the planet, hailing from New Orleans, home to so many great bands. Their performance was visceral, blistering, beyond heavy, the reality is they are one of the best bands I have ever seen (and I’ve seen a few) with an unforgettable live performance. EHG are a highly respected group of individuals who are free beyond the comprehension of most, commanding and unrivaled. If you were at The Underworld last night, thank you for making it a such a special atmosphere, it was great to see the Best of British there in support, Orange Goblin, you guys rule and above all EYEHATEGOD, truly devastating. Have a good one tonight!

Satanic Ave 666 tattooMy interest in Satanism goes back to the years I spent living in Prague, a time where I got to indulge my fascination and further my education in the dark arts. Even though I never had the opportunity to meet Anton LaVey, I felt a deep connection through his books that has stayed with me to this day. It was also around this time I joined the Church of Satan, mainly out of respect for the Black Pope and his legacy. Proud to be a member of the CoS, I had an inverted pentagram committed to my skin; my first satanic tattoo and a statement of intent and allegiance moving forward.

Now 15 years on, I have finally etched the revered ‘666’ into my body. This number has featured throughout my life, starting at the tender age of 10 with an introduction to heavy metal; thank you Iron Maiden, ‘Number of the Beast’ is where it ALL started. So if today is Judgement Day as some proclaim, then this week’s tattoo at Renshi’s illustrates my loyalties and commitment to the dark side and Ave Satanas. This is not just a brand… it’s a way of life.

I will see you all in Hell my friends… Hail Satan!

London Burlesque Week now in its fifth year, opened tonight with a spectacular gala aboard London’s historic HMS President moored permanently on the River Thames. Upon boarding this unique venue, Ave Satanas were welcomed by a bevy of burlesque beauties with varying degrees of delicious flesh on display. Entering the bar we were greeted by yet more exotic individuals and an abundance of boobie tassels! After reveling in the decadence of the on board bar, we ventured out onto the deck and into a well illuminated night sky. The views from HMS President were as spectacular as those on stage and tonight’s opening gala was a fantastic exhibition of burlesque at its best.

Chaz Royal’s International London Burlesque Week is truly the world’s greatest showcase of burlesque talent and is running for the rest of this week at venues around the capital. For more information and tickets click here.

Thanks for inviting us Chaz.
